Join Dr. Randy Mickler in this New Testament study of the book of Matthew: The Jewish Messiah Has Come.
The book of Matthew begins as the people of Israel wait and prepare for the coming Messiah. The birth of Jesus begins in Bethlehem, but Matthew writes of the King who has come to usher in the Kingdom of God. From displaying the lineage of Jesus to the Sermon on the Mount to the sermons, stories, and parables Christ shares, Matthew lays out this gospel and invites all to accept Him as Lord and Savior.
As we study the first gospel of the New Testament, we see the life of Christ through the eyes of Matthew, a Jewish tax collector. The prophecies of the Old Testament prophets come to fruition as they are fulfilled in an unexpected way.
There is no additional book required for this class. Be sure to bring your Bible.
